Our library provides a social space to meet, collaborate, research, learn, share, and relax. The staff work to develop a reading culture and raise the levels of information literacy across the school by leading students through processes which empower them to be critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers and skillful, efficient and discerning researchers.
The Oliver library management system, together with the ACEN digital library provide 24/7 access to a wealth of authentic, authoritative, age appropriate resources to specifically meet student and staff needs.
Resources include fiction and non-fiction books, ebooks, audiobooks, videos, journals, encyclopaedias, articles, websites, learning objects, CDs and DVDs.
Book Week is an exciting time at St Finbar’s Catholic Primary School Sans Souci which features the annual Book Fair, a parade and combined activities that promote reading and excite the imagination.
The Premiers Reading Challenge is offered every year to encourage avid reading and all students are awarded a participation certificate.
Being an open and inviting space, our library also supports productive activities such as inquiry research, STEM, student and parent workshops and a multitude of cocurricular activities.
